A Love Letter From Our Founder

Welcome to the world of Nette. We’re so glad you’re here.

When I started Nette, I wanted to create a clean-burning, sustainable, and super chic candle that would light the way to a new standard for the industry. For me, lighting a candle is a cherished ritual, much like pouring a great glass of wine or drawing a bath at the end of a long day. Unfortunately, most of the candles out there all look and smell the same and use harmful ingredients like paraffin wax, synthetic fragrances, standard cotton wicks, and cheap, mass-produced vessels you wouldn’t bother keeping around the house long-term. So, after talking to almost a hundred vendors all over the world, I found my dream partners, starting with a factory in L.A. who sourced a smooth, yummy, non-toxic coconut-soy wax for us and a 75-year-old family-owned glass blowing company in Italy who makes all of our vessels by hand. They are true treasures you’ll never want to throw out! We were lucky to have the best fragrance house in the world sign on to develop our four fragrances using only naturals and with sustainability top of mind. We don’t work with any synthetic ingredients. Our first-to-market GOTS-certified organic cotton wick and our super luxe packaging made from 100% recycled shoeboxes(!) and printed with seaweed ink are the finishing touches. 

I made Nette because I didn’t want to burn anything else in my home and because the multi-billion dollar candle industry is due for a shift towards something cleaner and better. We hope Nette helps you take good care--of yourself, your people, and the world around you.
