From Our Founder
It all started in a candle shop in San Francisco. I spent my childhood watching my mom hand-dip and carve beautiful, fragrant pillars in her shop on the water. Those were the best of days. Eventually, I grew up, moved to NYC, and launched a busy career in fashion and social media, but never forgot that shop on the water. In 2020, the pandemic hit, and I lost half the clients at the social media agency I had founded 10 years prior. I decided it was a sign to spend the year making a long-lost childhood dream come true. Nette is what I came out of that creative cocoon with.
Nette is a way of looking at the world through a poetic lens, shaped by imaginary protagonists, secret encounters, cultural touchstones, and desires. This point of view comes to life through fine fragrance defined by exceptional ingredients, groundbreaking science, and impeccable craftsmanship; fragrance designed to open up new universes and a language of feelings; fragrance simultaneously artful and scientific, luxurious and functional.
Pronounced “NET,” our name comes from the French word for “impeccable,” “elegant,” and “clean” — values that guide every action and creation.

Based in NYC and founded in 2021 by second generation candle maker, Carol Han Pyle, Nette evolves with each release, building upon a signature of polish, utility, elegance, and ease.
